Nutrien Ag Solutions stands by WA Country Football

Nutrien Ag Solutions has recommitted to supporting the West Australian Country Football League (WACFL), signing a three-year sponsorship agreement. Nutrien Ag Solutions will provide $100,000 per year to WACFL. Andrew Duperouzel, Regional Manager – Western Division, said the league was a cornerstone of many of the rural communities where Nutrien Ag Solutions’ staff and customers lived and worked. “Country footy clubs are a critical hub in almost every rural community across Australia,” Mr Duperouzel said.

Throwback Thursday - 2005

For this week’s edition of throwback Thursday we take a look at the 2005 season. The Landmark Country Championships saw 26 sides converge on Perth across the six grades (3 x Seniors and 3 x Colts). The Championships were in the midst of an Upper Great Southern Football League dominance. During a span of 12 years Uppers’ would claim eight A section titles with their 2005 victory over the South West by 33 pts the second title of a ‘four peat’. The Jock Coleman Medal went to Kukerin/Dumbleyung’s Ricky Mott who had just returned to his home club having spent time at both Sydney and Carlton.
