West Coast Poly Champion of the Month | April

Country Football WA is proud to partner once again with West Coast Poly in 2026 to bring back the West Coast Poly Champion of the Month — celebrating the outstanding individuals who go above and beyond to keep country footy thriving across Western Australia.

Kicking off the year, Tracy Jones from the Dowerin Football Club has been named the West Coast Poly Champion of the Month for April. Tracy has been recognised as a true powerhouse volunteer whose dedication continues to drive her club both on and off the field.

For the past six years, Tracy has been at the heart of the Dowerin Football Club,

serving as both Secretary and Registrar. Known as the club’s “heartbeat,” she works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly — from player registrations and compliance to match day coordination and club operations.

But Tracy’s commitment doesn’t stop at football. Balancing life as a St John Ambulance officer, a mum of four, and a farmer’s wife, she still finds the time to dedicate countless hours each week to her club — a testament to her passion for community and country footy.

Her impact was on full display during the recent Buddy Franklin game in Dowerin, where Tracy played a pivotal role as one of the lead event coordinators. Working closely with fellow organisers and major sponsors, she helped bring the event to life over months of planning — all while continuing to fulfil her regular club duties.

On the day, Tracy ensured that Buddy Franklin, Jesinta and their teams were welcomed and supported, contributing to what became one of the most successful country football events in recent memory. Her attention to detail, organisation, and care helped deliver an unforgettable experience for players, supporters, and the wider community.

Tracy embodies everything that makes country football special — selfless dedication, community spirit, and a willingness to go above and beyond without seeking recognition.

Along with the recognition as April’s Champion of the month, Tracy’s club will also receive as West Coast Poly Club training kit.
