Regional pride on show at the 2026 Women’s Country Football Championships
Seven regional teams will come together in Perth this Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October for the 2026 Country Football WA Women’s Championships, showcasing women’s football talent from across Western Australia.
Across two days of representative football, players will proudly represent their regions and compete for championship honours, with supporters encouraged to get along and cheer on their local side.
The Nufarm Division One competition will feature Great Northern, Great Southern, Goldfields and South West Football League. Matches begin at 11:00am on Friday at Victor George Kallis Oval, Cockburn Central.
North Pilbara, Kimberley and Peel will contest Division Two at Good Grocer Park, East Fremantle, with Friday’s matches starting at 12:10pm.
Both divisions will then head to Mineral Resources Park, Lathlain, for Finals Day on Saturday, with the day’s action beginning at 10:00am.
The Championships celebrate the players, coaches, umpires and volunteers who contribute to women’s football throughout regional WA. They provide an opportunity for communities to come together and support their footballers on the representative stage.
The 2026 Championships will also mark a milestone for umpiring, with the highest female umpire representation in the event’s history. Of the 24 umpires selected, 11 are women — six field, four boundary and one goal umpire — reflecting the growth of female umpiring pathways across WA. Support from the Road Safety Commission and SportWest will provide travel subsidies for regional umpires, helping reduce barriers to participation and creating opportunities to develop and progress within the game.
Country Football WA acknowledges Nufarm as the Division One naming rights partner, supporting the continued growth and profile of women’s country football.
Entry to both venues on Friday is free. Admission for Saturday’s Finals Day is $7 for spectators aged 16 and over, with children under 16 admitted free.
