THE WA Country Football League (WACFL) is pleased to announce that its long-standing partner Landmark will continue to support the league and grassroots country football until 2019.
The four-year contract extension was signed last week and will take the partnership into an amazing 45th season.
“Landmark is a company with its roots in country WA and we see the WACFL and its network of leagues and clubs as a crucial contributor to the health of regional WA,”
Landmark region director Mark Trewin said. “Our partnership with the WACFL is by far the biggest anywhere in Australia.”
WACFL general manager Joe Georgiades was glad to have the support of Landmark for the next four seasons and was confident the funding provided would be put to good use. “Landmark’s support helps us continue to be able to run the
Country Championships each year and there will also be support provided through the partnership to support grassroots leagues particularly throughout Landmark’s key areas around the State,” Mr Georgiades said.
“Without the generous support of commercial partners like Landmark, it would be impossible to run the programs we do and I see this partnership as a positive commitment from Landmark to help keep country areas vibrant.”
Mr Georgiades believes the Country Championships may take on a new format in 2016 and is confident changes made would further promote Landmark and support the leagues who regularly attend.
