New Holland WA Country State Side Wed, July 22, 2015 - 2:28 PM
The WA Country Football League is pleased to announce the players who will represent the New Holland WA State Country Side this Saturday, July 25 at 2pm at Bendigo Bank Stadium, Mandurah as they take on the South Australian Community Football League.
The past two encounters between WA and SA have seen the South Australians come away with two comprehensive wins, but in his debut match as coach WA’s Craig Walker believes the tide may be turning.
“We have certainly canvassed the State for the best talent this year and we believe that this is the strongest team we have put together for quite some time,” he said.
“With a good mix of size and speed we can defiantly take it right up to the South Australians and peg one back.”
Troy Skilton will captain the West Australian Country side for the second consecutive year while Jayden Brooks and Simon Parry have been appointed vice captains.
