Toyota Good For Football Raffle Mon, June 29, 2015 - 1:22 PM

A number of Country Football Clubs have got on the front foot and are participating in the Toyota Good For Football Raffle which was launched late in May.  The raffle will see Toyota WA put up a prize pool in excess of $60,000 (which includes a new Camry as the major prize) that football clubs can sell tickets to.

The beauty of the Good For Football raffle is that there is no middle man, all money raised by the club is kept by the club which is an excellent incentive.

Toyota WA Regional General Manager Michael Beros was excited about the potential this concept offered footy clubs, “We see this raffle as an important part of our overall contribution to football and want to work with clubs to help get much needed funds to support grass roots football”

Data generated from a 2011 Street Ryan report on the Economic Impact of Country Football on Regional Areas indicated that the costs of running a football club was in excess of $100,000 per annum on average.  Fundraising activities such as raffles continue to be one of the major income streams for country football clubs.

A number of country clubs have identified the need to improve facilities and want money raised to support upgrades to make their clubs safer and more pleasant to visitors.

Due to the new partnership Toyota has formed with Country Football, clubs wanting to further promote the raffle in their area are asked to call into their local Toyota Rural Dealer for assistance.

Clubs Can register online at www.toyota.com.au/afl#aflraffle with the promotion closing on 27 August.
