Country Football WA is proud to continue its long-standing partnership with CBH Group, a dedicated supporter of grassroots football across Western Australia’s grain-growing regions.
Since 2002, CBH has been a valued long-term supporter of Country Football WA, backing 12 regional leagues that encompass 71 clubs, 302 teams, and over 7,750 players – including men’s, women’s, and junior participants.
As part of this enduring partnership, CBH is continuing to directly support the cost of operations for country football clubs across grain-growing WA. This support helps ensure clubs can focus on what matters most – bringing communities together through the game they love.
In addition to this operational support, CBH will remain the naming rights partner for the finals series in the Avon, Central Wheatbelt, Central Midlands Coastal, Great Northern, Great Southern, Eastern Districts, North Midlands, Ongerup, Ravensthorpe and District, and Upper Great Southern football leagues, as well as the entire Mortlock Football League and the colts divisions of the Country Championships held in July.
David Paton, CBH Chief Stakeholder Relations, Sustainability & Strategy Officer, said the co-operative is proud to support regional football through the CBH Community Investment Fund.
“For regional areas, community is everything, and country footy plays a really important role in helping to bring people together,” Mr Paton said.
“CBH’s support of club costs helps ease the financial burden so volunteers can concentrate on the community, getting people involved, and enjoying the game.”
WA Football’s Executive Manager Country Football, Facilities and Affiliates, Brent Hedley said CBH’s support will help keep football advancing in the regions for years to come.
“We’re really appreciative of CBH’s long-term support and commitment to the health and well-being of footballers in regional WA,” Mr Hedley said.
“This long-standing partnership – which stretches across 12 leagues and two talent carnivals – has been instrumental in supporting regional communities and advancing football across WA’s grain belt.
“We feel that our shared commitment to community development and engagement has yielded substantial benefits across more than two decades and we look forward to continuing our partnership into the future.”
