Country’s Best Prepare for Annual State Clash at Gosnells Oval

Country pride is on the line once again as the New Holland Country State Women’s side prepares to face off against the Perth Football League in a highly anticipated clash at Gosnells Oval on Friday 20th June.

The annual fixture, re-ignited in 2024, saw a thrilling draw last year. Now, under the leadership of Head Coach Rennie Meadmore and Assistant Coach Sheridan Kowald, the Country squad is determined to go one better.

“With a draw last year, we are even more motivated to select a team that can take the win,” said Meadmore. “This group represents the best of regional WA, and we’re ready to showcase that strength on the field.”

The match is a key highlight of the New Holland State Program, which provides a platform for top-performing male and female footballers from across regional WA to represent their state. The initiative is proudly supported by long-time partner New Holland, whose commitment to regional communities and pathways in football continues to be unwavering.

The Country State teams will once again take the field in the iconic yellow-and-black New Holland guernseys and shorts.
