Country Football WA is seeking nominations for its Board of Directors, inviting individuals with diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives to help shape the future of football in regional WA.

About the role

The Country Football WA Board plays a vital role in leading the organisation, supporting its members, and advancing football across WA’s regional communities.

As a Director, you will contribute to the strategic direction of Country Football WA, provide governance oversight, and advocate for community football initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Board Directors are responsible for:

• Representing and serving the interests of Country Football WA members – junior and senior football leagues,/associations, Life Members and Patrons
• Overseeing and supporting the delivery of Country Football WA’s strategic goals
• Providing guidance on key policies and governance practices
• Advocating for football development and growth across WA.

Who we’re looking for

We’re seeking individuals who:

• Bring skills or expertise in areas such as governance, finance, law, marketing, stakeholder engagement, or club/community development
• Have a strong commitment to football and regional communities
• Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and collaborative decision-making
• Reflect the diversity of WA’s regional communities.

Nomination process

To nominate, you must:

1. Be nominated by a Country Football WA-affiliated League/Association, Life Member or Patron
2. Complete the Country Football WA Board Director Nomination Form and include a brief bio (100 words max) and profile photo
3. Submit your application to countryfootballwa@wafc.com.au by 4:00 pm, 5th January 2025.

Timeline

• Call for nominations: Monday 9^th December 2024
• Nominations close:  Sunday 5^th January 2025
• Review and shortlisting: Week commencing Monday 6^th January 2025
• Election at AGM: Friday 28^th February 2025
