The SGM will provide an opportunity for attendance virtually. Details relating to this will be communicated to the Leagues closer to the meeting date.

It is extremely important that your League is represented on this day (i.e. by the President or Administrator or Board Members); a reminder will be forwarded in Late June, along with a finalised Agenda. EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS AND NOMINATIONS

In line with the new governance model and onboarding of Junior Leagues, as outlined in the Notice of Motion, all positions to the Board will be vacant. There will be eight positions available, two of which will be exclusive to Junior League nominations. To ensure equal rotation of Board members, and to align with the AGM scheduled to be held in February each year, it is proposed that the term of office is amended in this one instance. The first four members elected to the Board will serve a two year and seven month term and the second four members elected to the Board will serve a one year and seven month term.

Nominations for these positions are invited and a nomination form is attached. A current CV and cover letter addressing the selection criteria, along with the form endorsed by a League/Association and return no later than 8 June 2023 via email to wacountry@wafc.com.au.             

Please ensure that any interested persons within your region are supplied with the nomination form. Any details supplied by nominating persons will be circulated to all leagues for their consideration prior to the SGM.

Also note that an advertisement calling for nominations to the Board of Directors will be placed on the WACFL website and social media. This will instruct interested parties to contact a League/Association to obtain a nomination form.

NOTICE OF MOTION

As this is a Special General Meeting, we will not be calling for Notice of Motion from Leagues. Any Notices of motions will be accepted in the lead up to the AGM in February 2024.

Attached are two Notices of Motion presented by WACFL. Instructions on voting will be sent out with Board Nominations on 8 June 2023.
