The WACFL is excited to announce, in partnership with Nutrien Ag Solutions, that it will be holding a Women’s and Colt’s Country Football Championships during the October School Holidays.

The Women’s Championships and CBH Group Colts Championships will be held in Perth across two days, Thursday 30th September and Friday 1st of October.

WAFC Executive Manager Country Football, Affiliates & Facilities Tom Bottrell said he was pleased about being able to lock in Country Championships Football after the challenges of the last two years.

“With Country football back in full swing we have been eager to have the best players come together as part of the Nutrien Ag Country Football Championships. Unfortunately we hit a road block in July but it’s great to have the Women’s and Colts come together in October.”

“All competing leagues were asked to express their interest to participate in an October edition of the Championships and we are rapt to have five Women’s sides and six Colt’s sides put their hands up to test themselves against the best in country WA.”

The Nutrien Ag Country Championships in October will form part of a true celebration of football in Western Australia with the 2021 AFL Masters National Carnival scheduled from 26th September until 2nd of October and the WAFL Grand Final to be held on either Saturday 2 nd or Sunday 3rd October.

The WACFL is also excited to announce plans for a regional pre-season challenge in 2022. Showcasing a shortened format of the game, clubs from around the state will be invited to pit themselves against clubs from other leagues and play off for prizemoney. Final details on the Nutrien Ag Country Club Challenge will be released in the coming months.

Fixtures for the 2021 Women’s and Colt’s Championships will be released shortly.
