The South West Football league have made it three CBH Group Colts Carnival titles in a row with a come from behind 26 point win at Bendigo Bank Stadium.

An even qualfying compeition saw the South West progrees into the decider on the back of three wins and a draw to face Regional Districts whose only loss in the carnival to that point had come at the hands of the Green and Gold.

Regional Districts jumped out of the blocks early with a five goal to nil first term giving them a real shot at their first ever CBH Group Colts title. 

Arguably the best quarter of football in the carnival followed in the second term as the South West finally found some rythm, making the most of the breeze to kick five goals for the term. Regional Districts though didnt let up and when Nathan Spooner kicked a goal from outside the arc into the breeze the margin a skipped back out to an even three goals at the main break.

The game closed down in the thrid term with neither side able to find much space outside of the contest. Sam Van Diemen kicked the only major for the term giving his side a four goal buffer at the final change.

The South West side, with the aid of the breeze, finally found their range in the final term and in a commanding display f fotball slammed on eight majors for the term to storm to their third title in succession.

Ken Baxter Medallist as the Carnivals Fairest and Best, Malek Wallam was unstoppable on his way to four majors. At the other end of the ground key forward Nathan Spooner showcased his potential with three majors of his own that saw him presented with the Clem bray trophy as the rising star of the carnival.
