CBH strengthens country football partnership, covering 71 clubs’ public liability insurance

Country Football WA is proud to announce an expansion of its long-standing partnership with CBH Group, a dedicated supporter of grassroots football across Western Australia’s grain-growing regions.

Since 2002, CBH has been a valued long-term supporter of Country Football WA, backing 16 regional leagues that encompass 71 clubs, 300+ teams, and over 9,000 players, including men’s, women’s, and junior participants.

For a further three years, CBH will continue to directly support the cost of operations for country football clubs, including covering the full cost of public liability insurance for 71 clubs across grain-growing WA. This support helps ensure clubs can focus on what matters most – bringing communities together through the game they love.

In addition to this operational support, CBH will continue as a Major Partner of Country Football WA and the Great Southern Colts Carnival and retain naming rights for the CBH Colts Country Championships.

CBH Chief Executive Officer Ben Macnamara said the partnership reflects CBH’s ongoing commitment to strengthening regional communities.

“Country football clubs are often the heartbeat of regional communities, but sustaining them requires more than passion alone,” Mr Macnamara said.

“By supporting core operational costs like public liability insurance, CBH are helping remove some of the financial pressure on volunteers and clubs, so they can focus on what really matters – supporting players and bringing communities together through the game they love.”

WA Football’s Executive Manager Country Football, Facilities and Affiliates, Brent Hedley said CBH’s ongoing support helps to keep football advancing in the regions for years to come.

“Country Football WA is thrilled to have CBH’s long-term support and commitment to the health and wellbeing of footballers in regional WA,” Mr Hedley said.

“This expanded partnership will ease financial pressures on 71 clubs, allowing volunteers to focus on supporting players and bringing communities together.”
